Three novels by Patricia Fawcett have been published. A Perfect Mother is about Frances, the dutiful eldest daughter, who lives with and keeps an eye on her elderly father. When her sister Maggie decides to move in after a failed relationship and when their youngest sister Diane – their mother’s favourite and a successful career woman – comes for a visit, the three sisters start to uncover each others’ secrets. And as if these were not enough to rock the boat, their father also has something to tell them... Family Values tells the story of the Scarr family members: Clementine Scarr and her grown-up daughter Nina have been begging Nina’s sister Julia and her family to move back to Lancashire to be near them. So far she has preferred to live in Norfolk, but suddenly she changes her mind and positively forces her husband to apply for a teaching post at a private school that her father Anthony had founded before his untimely death. As the Scarr family members become reunited, they are all keen to exemplify the high moral standards set by the perfect father Anthony. However, it soon becomes apparent that everyone has something to hide... How long can they keep their secrets? Secrets and Lies explores the how well we really know our friends: When Maddy befriends her neighbour Jean, she is relieved to have found someone who is not as shallow as some of her other friends.
